Description

PrivacyNotes is an end-to-end encrypted app for notes, tasks, passwords, files, a calendar, contacts, bookmarks and a journal with mood and medication tracking. Notes are encrypted on your device before they sync, and you can sign in with a 12-word recovery phrase instead of an email address and password. The desktop app also works as a Markdown editor on a folder of plain .md and .txt files. The client code is open source.

Package Notes

  • PrivacyNotes is free to use with limits (sync across 2 devices, 50 MB of storage); a paid Pro tier lifts them. The free tier needs no credit card.
  • With the 12-word phrase sign-in, nobody can recover your notes if you lose the phrase. Signing in with Google, Apple or GitHub stores your key with the service by default.
  • The app runs on the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime, which is installed as a dependency.

Please Note: This is an automatically updated package. If you find it is out of date by more than a day or two, please contact the maintainer(s) and let them know the package is no longer updating correctly.
